We all have our own little projects going on around here. The boys have been into my needles and thread, I've started their fall sweaters, and I even decided I should probably add a little pink to the girl's wardrobe.
A little something for sitting in the sand. Well, not quite sitting, yet, but you know what I mean...
Sheesh... Pink & ruffles? What is happening to me? I must be horomonal.
The boys worked hard, sweated hard, and played hard at the farm on a really hot day, and there was next to no complaining. We brought home plenty of berries, and had a slow, quiet afternoon (which was necessary for this very tired Mama).
In which Micah learns two very important life-lessons...
On our last morning with Gramma & Grampa, Daddy was enjoying himself just as much as the boys. He had control of the hose. He squirted Levi pretty good, and of course Levi took off running, but came right back for more:
Being the typical 3 year old, Micah launched into a verbal defense of his brother.
"Daddy! You no squirt Levi!"
Which gave him the first life lesson:
Don't mouth off to someone with a hose unless you plan on getting wet.
This of course lead to the second lesson: Hiding from the hose-guy behind Gramma is a pretty safe bet. Within seconds, he was calling to his Daddy in this sing-song voice, that wasn't he going to squirt at Gramma?
(which I think proves, that he definately got the second lesson, don't you think?)
The boys were thrilled to have a visit with their Gramma and Grampa this weekend! They brought a kiddie-version of croquet, which the boys played for a really long time, and many times, which thoroughly answered the question I'd been pondering (are we ready for putt-putt?)...
We had such a good time, that Micah totally wore himself out. He eventually fell asleep in that basket! More tomorrow...
